About
emPath enables people with little or no digital access to receive substance use treatment through trusted outreach services they already use. Patients can register, consent, complete virtual visits, and receive a prescription all without needing their own phone or transportation. Outreach programs serve as the consistent care touchpoint, while treatment partners use emPath to extend compassionate, low-barrier care to patients who often fall out of traditional clinic models. The platform is designed to fit naturally into outreach and clinical workflows and continually evolves based on frontline staff feedback.
emPath Features
Field compatible and accessible
emPath works on any common device, including tablets, laptops, and desktops, making it easy to use in outreach settings, community spaces, or on a patient’s own device. Patients do not need to own a personal phone or tablet - just an email address.
Rapid in-field registration
Patients can quickly create an account using a simple invite code shared at outreach, allowing them to complete registration without visiting a clinic. Information is securely shared with the clinical partner to support chart setup and care coordination.
Drop-in Video Visits
Providers can connect with patients through a secure video portal designed for flexible, first-come, first-served care during outreach sessions.
Fits clinical workflows
Providers deliver care using their usual documentation and clinical systems. emPath supports virtual visits without requiring changes to established clinical routines.
Secure messaging
Patients, outreach staff, and care teams can exchange messages and documents in a private, secure space. This helps coordinate care, answer questions, and address disruptions as they arise.
Outreach partner integration
emPath is built around collaboration between outreach programs and clinical partners. Outreach staff can support patients directly within the platform, helping maintain trusted relationships while enabling seamless communication with care teams.
