Spark Award

Dr. Hodges, founder of emPath Health, was selected from more than 130 Duke research applicants to receive the Duke Science and Technology SPARK Award from the Duke Office of Research and Innovation. This funding will support continued human-centered design work to refine the emPath prototype and evaluate its feasibility for connecting and supporting patients receiving all-virtual treatment for opioid use disorder. This work is being conducted in partnership with the North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition in Durham, North Carolina.
