Spark Award

Dr. Hodges, founder of emPath Technologies, was selected from more than 130 Duke research applicants to receive the Duke Science & Technology SPARK Award from the Duke Office of Research and Innovation. This funding will support continued human-centered design work to refine the emPath prototype and evaluate its feasibility for connecting and supporting patients receiving all-virtual treatment for opioid use disorder. This work is being conducted in partnership with the North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition in Durham, North Carolina.
